DALLAS COWBOY’S RUNNINGBACK, EZEKIEL ELLIOTT, LIKELY FACING LAWSUITS AFTER HIS DOGS ATTACK NEIGHBORS
Dallas Cowboy’s running back, Ezekiel Elliott, has once again come into legal trouble regarding his dogs. This past week, Animal Services was called to the NFL running back’s Frisco, Texas neighborhood regarding three dogs that were roaming through the community. Frisco Police have reported that one of his dogs, a Rottweiler, bit two people and were taken to the hospital for treatment for their injuries. Following Texas law, the dog is required to undergo a 10-day quarantine to observe for any illnesses.
In the state of Texas, pet owners are prohibited from allowing their animals to roam at large (with the exclusion of cats). Elliot was issued three animal-at-large citations, one for each dog that had escaped that day. These citations are punishable by fine a fine only, but this could be minimal when compared to potential civil suits brought by the dog bite victim(s). This incident comes just over a year after a similar incident at the football star’s home. Elliott is currently being sued by a pool cleaner who claims she was attacked and dragged by his dogs.
